Conference

The Derrida Today conferences are a means to bring together a community of Derrida and deconstruction scholars from around the world, and to showcase the latest work in Derrida Studies, and its relevance to cultural, political, and social practice.

The conferences were co-founded in 2008 by Nicole Anderson and Nick Mansfield. They are directed by Nicole Anderson and hosted biennially with colleagues from various institutions around the world.

There are five keynote speakers for the 2024 conference:

  • Anne Berger (Paris 8 Vincennes – Saint-Denis)
  • Donatella Di Cesare (Sapienza University of Rome)
  • And one more keynote to be announced

CONFERENCE FORMAT

The conference will be held in a hybrid format. This means:

  • Delegates can present papers either in-person or online.
  • Papers can be delivered in English or French
  • All in-person sessions will be streamed and made available to all delegates after the conference.

The conference will be run on a dedicated website platform at https://www.derridatodayconference.com  rather than as a series of Zoom meetings. Details of the platform and how to use it will be released following registration.

Early bird registration will open on December 16, 2023

Late registration begins April 16, 2024

Registration closes May 30, 2024

Refund policy: Full refunds are available up until and including May 1, 2024. 50% refunds are available until and including May 20, 2024. No refunds are available after this date. All refunds will be less Ticket Tailor fees and charges.
